Hailing from Altanta, Georgia, John McNicholas is a singer/songwriter that pulls the inspiration for his craft from real-life situations based on his personal experiences and the lives of his friends. The names are not always changed, so consider yourself nabbed if you should recognize yourself in the songs. "Some of the catchiest and best-written guitar-pop to inexplicably not go national" (the Weekly Planet - Eric Snider) John has just finished recording a new record with Atlanta-based producer Russ Fowler (John Mayer, Shawn Mullins, Pete Droge, the Offspring) for a Summer 2006 release.

‘FOREVER’ GOD IS FAITHFUL

Young People Spread the Message of Christ through Song

Christ N U is the result of the vision God gave to Minister Darryl Izzard to develop young people spiritually, musically, and socially. Christ N U began as a 3-week summer program to give young people ages 12-26 something positive to do with their time. The impact was so powerful that the project now runs all year long. A dynamic team of churches, community leaders, and volunteers from across South Carolina and North Carolina caught the vision and began to make a difference in the lives of our young people. Christ N U is a non-profit, faith-based initiative supported by advisors & leaders who are concerned about the well being of our young people. Through their efforts to combat teen pregnancy, substance abuse, gang violence and just plain boredom the lives of Christ N U members have been changed.

Christ N U began on June 1, 2004 with four chapters-Northeast Columbia, Southeast Columbia, Inner City Columbia, and Aiken. The choir now has young people representing West Columbia, Irmo, Orangeburg, Batesburg-Leesville, Hartsville, Lugoff-Camden, Fairfield, and Charlotte, NC. Each chapter has a weekly rehearsal at the host church for their area. The directors for each chapter are college students with a love for God, music, and a heart for helping young people be the best they can be. Mass choir rehearsals are held two to three times per month on Saturdays at designated host churches. All young people need a place to go that will help inspire them to do the right thing—Christ N U is that place.

CHRIST N U can be scheduled to be an inspiration to your young people (or grown-ups) by contacting the state advisor, Ms. Janet Kim Thompson (803.603.6595/janet@darrylizzard.com). To join CHRIST N U or to find out about starting a CNU chapter in your area contact Ms. Giana L. Thompson (803.603.0101/gia@darrylizzard.com). For more information visit www.christnu.com or www.myspace.com/christnu.

Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire young people ages 13 -26 to give their best to God through the ministry of music. Our goal is to share dynamic biblical instruction for the Word of God along with wonderful gospel music while providing exciting opportunities for Christian fellowship among participating students that they might grow musically, socially, and spiritually.

Our Vision

Our vision is to see youth ages 13 -26 from across the globe involved in life-changing ministry each summer as well as throughout the year via the Christ N U network of chapter choirs fully staffed with directors, singers, musicians, church sponsors and advisors that focus on spiritual, musical and social development:

Leading: Christ N U trains us to be leaders in all walks of life: our homes, our churches, our schools and our communities.

Learning: Christ N U teaches us more about music ministry, community leadership and Christian fellowship through dynamic bible instruction and weekly youth discussions.

Serving: Christ N U gives us an opportunity to make the world a better place through serving others.
